LAX NEARS 4 MILLION PASSENGERS IN JANUARY AS RECOVERY CONTINUES

(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) announced today that year-over-year passenger volume continues to show a strong recovery, with 3.96 million passengers using Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in January 2022, a 131% increase from 1.72 million passengers in the same month last year.

BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS APPROVES CONTRACT TO REOPEN FIRST FLIGHT CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

(Los Angeles, CA) Today, the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC) approved a three-year contract that will re-open the First Flight Child Development Center next spring. The Center, which is located north of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), will again provide child care services for young children of airport workers and nearby residents. It is owned by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and will be operated by the Learning Care Group.
