PERFORMANCE SERIES SETS A DRAMATIC STAGE AT LAX FLYAWAY® BUS TERMINAL IN VAN NUYS
(Los Angeles, California – Sept. 6, 2012) -- Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) will present a series of three weekend site-specific dance and music performances by Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, String Theory, and Sarah Elgart during the months of September and October at the LAX FlyAway® bus terminal in Van Nuys.  The series is presented to enhance the experience of travelers and visitors and enrich the public space of the bus terminal by showcasing innovative performances that feature engaging dance, music, and imagery. All performances are free to the public and will take place at theLAX FlyAway® bus terminal, 7610 Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys. Parking is $4 in the parking structure or free street parking along Woodley Avenue.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT UNVEILS FREE WI-FI SERVICE TO PASSENGERS PROVIDED BY ADVANCED WIRELESS GROUP, LLC

      (Los Angeles, California – September 4, 2012)  Meeting one of the top demands by passengers for improved customer service at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), free Wi-Fi service to passengers is now available, provided by Advanced Wireless Group, LLC (AWG).  Passengers may use Wi-Fi basic services for free for unlimited sessions lasting less than 45 minutes or opt to pay for premium and uninterrupted Wi-Fi service for a 24-hour period.

LAX FLYAWAY® BUS AT IRVINE STATION TO DISCONTINUE SERVICE

(Los Angeles, California – August 28, 2012) The remaining open house/public meeting scheduled by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to enable interested parties to obtain information and comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) for the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Specific Plan Amendment Study (SPAS) will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This final open house/public meeting will be held at. at the Proud Bird Restaurant, 11022 Aviation Boulevard, Los Angeles.

- TRAFFIC ADVISORY – PARTIAL CLOSURE OF LINCOLN BOULEVARD AT LAX SCHEDULED
(Los Angeles, California – August 27, 2012) - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has informed Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) officials of the closure of Lincoln Boulevard (SR-1) from Sepulveda Boulevard to McConnell Avenue beginning Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31 as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.  Caltrans work aims to enhance safety and mobility as well as upgrade existing curb ramps to Americans with Disability Act standards.

ECONOMIC STUDY FINDS LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT GENERATES 294,400 L.A. COUNTY JOBS, $39.7 BILLION IN ECONOMIC OUTPUT, $2.5 BILLION IN LOCAL AND STATE TAX REVENUES
An economic impact analysis released today reaffirmed the role of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as one of Los Angeles County’s major economic generators.  According to a study by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), activity at LAX generates 294,400 jobs in Los Angeles County with labor income of $13.6 billion and economic output of more than $39.7 billion annually.  An additional 19,400 jobs are supported in neighboring Southern California counties.  This activity added $2.5 billion to local and state tax revenues.

LAX FLYAWAY® BUS SERVICE AT IRVINE STATION TO CEASE OPERATION
(Los Angeles, California – August 20, 2012)  FlyAway ® nonstop bus service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the Irvine Transportation Center (Irvine Station) in Orange County will cease operation, it was announced today by airport officials.  The exact date and time of the cessation of service are not known at this time, but are expected to occur by September 14.
